Marom Budapest

MAROM – coordinator and organizer

Marom Budapest is a non-profit cultural association that was formed by the initiative of young adults to discover, revive and re-interpret Jewish traditions. The main profile of Marom is thus to organize such cultural and educational programs that deal with topics related to Judaism. Marom organizes concerts, theatre performances, exhibitions, movie screenings, round-table discussions, seminars and workshops.

Marom stands up for such social justice issues as the protection of environment, preservation of city landscapes and furthermore organizes charity actions (collection of cloths and giving out food) for the poor and the homeless. Marom organizes bigger festivals on the fest of Chanukah since seven years, and its biggest yearly event, tha Lake Bánk Festival.
